Carolyn Creswell is the Founder of Carman’s Fine Foods and also an inspirational leader who has proven that you can run a large and successful organisation and still manage a genuine work-life balance.

Carolyn has managed Carman’s through rapid growth and it has become Australia’s the number one selling muesli brand in supermarket, all this at the same time as maintaining a great relationship with her husband and raising four young kids!

For the past twenty years, Creswell has produces her quality products using whole foods. It was humble beginnings for Carolyn who used to park her small Daewoo in-between semi-trailers in the supermarket loading docks, Carolyn’s resilience has seen the Carman’s brand build a strong customer base in over 32 countries internationally.

Creswell is a proud mother that understands how important it is to produce nourishing foods for herself and her family this principal applies to every Carman’s product. Carolyn’s commitment to her work-life balance also applies to the Carman’s office, her employees are encouraged to take time out of the office to be a part of their children’s events and special occasions.

Every day the Cayman’s team gathers to eat lunch in the boardroom and do a quiz form the daily papers and on Fridays the staff who have less than ten emails to action in their inbox can leave mid-afternoon. This environment makes for an enjoyable work place with a high staff retention.

Carolyn’s business acumen has led to many awards including being named the 2012 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year and the winner of 2007 Ernst and Young’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Creswell is a proud board member for Stephanie Alexander’s Kitchen Garden Foundation, who work to get kids into the garden and the kitchen. Carolyn is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Most recently, Carolyn’s business success has presented a new role for her as a mentor on Channel 10’s Recipe to Riches and she is also a well respected and much sort after motivational speaker with an enjoyable sense of humour in her presentations.

Carolyn’s love of healthy eating of food made from real ingredients has made Carman’s reputation as a fine food brand that is trusted by customers around the world to be natural, healthy, and delicious.
