What do you get when you take two old friends, a big conversation by the fire under a big night sky, and a fierce desire to change the world? You get Visibility Co.

Seven years ago, Julia May, a former foreign correspondent, and Sarah Anderson, a former international communication strategist and advisor, asked themselves a question: what would the world look like if more people had the mindset, will and skills to take their ideas and work into the world?

Today, they’re proud co-founders of Visibility Co, which sits at the intersection of mindful leadership, communications, strategy and social impact. Jules, Sare and their team help purpose-filled individuals and organisations across the globe to bring their potential, ideas and impact to life.

Through events, programs, mentoring and “second brain” advisory, they’ve helped thousands of leaders from more than 50 countries to navigate and activate complex change; to shift the dial on social issues; triple revenues; publish books; be profiled in the NY Times; attract audiences of 1-billion-plus people; take courageous leaps; and make life-changing shifts to relationships, health and self-talk.

Outside of Visibility Co, Jules and Sare have helped found social movements supporting women in conservation in Africa and Southeast Asia. They are also founding leaders of Homeward Bound, a global leadership program for women in STEMM, for which Sare and Jules helped lead the world’s largest all-women expeditions to Antarctica, coaching and facilitating as orcas and icebergs floated by. Homeward Bound has been named a Vogue Gamechanger of the Year and as one of the best things to happen for women by Fortune Magazine, and is the subject of an award-winning documentary.

Despite the complexity in the world, if you ask Julia and Sarah what drives them, it’s pretty simple: in the future, when their children are grown and turn to them and say, “What did you do to help?” they’ll be able to answer honestly and truthfully, “Everything we possibly could.”
